In Praise of Folly

So. In my search for the roots of the Theology of Stupidity (copyright me) and the sanctity of dunces, of all kinds, and relevant to my note about the criticism of Duns Scotus by the humanists, I am signposted by far better-read people in the direction of Erasmus and his work The Praise of Folly. Sadly, everything I know about Erasmus is contained in the seminal work by Jean Plaidy, Saint Thomas’s Eve.

Erasmus – Hans Holbein the Younger

Therefore I will have to do some actual reading. Since when did Twitter set one homework?
