As I missed the feast of the Guardian Angels, and because I was reminded of this most wonderful of stories by this most affecting blogpost here ( trigger warning…on the loss of children), here is one of my favourite paintings… partly because it includes the Mystery Dog.

It really is a lovely story: contains true love, constancy to the faith, the casting out of demons, an archangel, miracles, and a dog.
