John Duns Scotus

 The image above is of a statue to the saint in Duns, Berwickshire , the subtle doctor’s birthplace.

Today is the feast of Blessed Duns Scotus. I wrote about him a little while ago, here.

And, of course, one must mention Alexander Pope’s The Dunciad.
