Meryemana

Nothing to say about Turkey today. I’ve been there a lot, I knew a lot of people there, I was charmed by aspects of the culture from which ‘Westerners’ could learn – the hospitality, the generosity, the importance of family and education, the chivalry shown towards me, a graceless idiot foreign woman, the overwhelming kindness and courtesy of strangers, the tolerance shown to me and a thousand other witless, graceless, rude travellers.  I think it is a marvellous country and I met many kind, marvellous people there. I hope for the best for their future.

Here is the chapel at Meryemana, at the site presumed to be the house of Our Lady.  More about this here.
