Here is Saint Jerome, saying ” Hey, guys, wait, what’s up?”

Vittore Carpaccio

A Doctor of the Church, he is the patron saint of: archaeologists; archivists; Bible scholars; librarians; libraries; school children; students;translators. And he had a lion for a friend.

Just as well, for he said:

A friend is long sought, hardly found, and with difficulty kept.

He produced many  other rattling good quotes, such as:

Be ever engaged, so that whenever the devil calls he may find you occupied.

He also said:

Woman is the gate of the devil, the road to iniquity, the sting of the scorpion, in a word, a dangerous species.

Ahem.
